Product Description

This cookware set is an exceptional value, including all of the pans needed to equip your kitchen with the most used cooking pieces. As the set contains only basic pieces, you'll really use each and every pan. It includes saucepans for whisking a homemade sauce or cooking your morning oatmeal, a big stockpot for soups, stews or boiling pasta, and skillets (probably the most used pan in any kitchen) that will help you turn out perfect crepes or a simple grilled cheese sandwich. The set also includes a saute pan, a wide, straight-sided pan that can perform many of the functions of a skillet but features deep sides for extra capacity, perfect for one dish meals. Start your dish in this pan by sautéing onions and browning meat, then add your liquid and other ingredients into the same pan to finish on the stovetop or in the oven.

Amazon.com Review

A satiny sheen and touches of color give Rachel Ray's 10-piece stainless-steel cookware set a stylish look that's also functional and durable. Included in the grouping are an 8-quart covered stockpot, 1-1/2- and 3-quart covered saucepans, 8- and 10-inch open skillets, and a 10-inch covered sauté pan. Stainless steel is a popular all-around cooking material because it heats quickly and evenly, while the aluminum-capped bases add energy efficiency and excellent heat retention. Plus, the metal doesn't react to acidic foods, resists corrosion and scratches, and cleans easily with just a sponge.
The cookware set also features high-arching handles covered in grippy orange silicone that stay cool on the range and are oven-safe to 400 degrees F. Riveted on for strength, they won't warp, bend, or break no matter how heavy the load or how often used. Glass lids also keep the chef informed on what's happening inside the pots without letting heat, nutrients, or flavor escape. A nice starter set that's both versatile and inclusive, this collection is perfect for a new homeowner or as a smartly polished upgrade to a worn, gathered-over-the-years menagerie. It's backed by a lifetime limited warranty. --Kara Karll

"FINALLY bought the WHOLE set!" 2010-06-05
By T. Ferguson (W-S, NC)
I have owned a singular Rachel Ray saucepan for probably 2 years. My husband and I would use it over any of the three saucepans we had in our current set. If the Rachel Ray pot was sitting dirty in the dishwasher, we would pull it out and handwash it rather than using a clean one from our set. Don't get me wrong, we have a decent set - if you count brand name & amount of money spent$$$$. They just did not cook as evenly and handle as well as the Rachel Ray pot. FINALLY I broke down and let the guilt melt away and just did it! I purchased the whole Rachel Ray set. They are heaven! They were also 4 times cheaper than my other set and work 100 times better. I kept them sitting out on the stove for a week just to look at them. But who needs two sets of stainless steel cookware you ask; especially if you are only going to use the SUPERB set by Rachel Ray? Well...surely someone in the family will need a "good" hand-me-down set of pots and pans one day, huh? I have a FANTASTIC set to use. And they just better keep their hands off my Rachel's!!

"LEAKY POTS!" 2010-04-28
By Amanda W (Virginia)
The 1-1/2 qt AND the 3 qt saucepans leak where the handle is attached (by rivets) to the pot. It is a very slow leak, but it will make a mess on your stove. You can't fill the pot more than 1/2 way. There is no way to fix this problem unless you can weld. I am in the process of trying to get replacements, but what is the point if they leak too?I adore the frying pans and the ease of cleaning this set. I like that you can see what is cooking through the glass lids.this set is very heavy and durable.

"Pleasantly Surprised" 2010-03-13
By T. Morgan (Southern CA)
I've used my set for about three months now and am very pleased. What I like most are the glass lids and cool-to-touch handles. I've had glass lids before but those handles are awesome.I wouldn't call these stainless steel in that the inside are more of a brushed material and so cleaning is different. I did have one burned item in the pot (for three months use, one disaster is pretty good for me)! The burn cleaned very well but I did need to scour the inside to get the evidence of my lack of skill out of the crevices of the pot. It's not really hard to keep clean but does require a little bit of strength; and, for the record, I have arthritis and didn't find it too much to handle.I read a couple review of people complaining of leaking at the screws. I purposely boiled in each pot and personally haven't had that problem (thankfully!) so maybe their redesigned this aspect of it.All in all, I'm quite happy. They're pretty, useful and safe to use and clean. We don't need to use those non-stick pans anymore. They're bad for pets - especially birds. Better safe than heartbroken.I would definitely recommend this set. Great price too.

"love it...except there is no 12 inch skillet!" 2010-03-03
By C. Lawson
Love these pots and pans! I just wish there was a 12inch stainless skillet that came with the set. I had to order the rachael ray nonstick skillet, since she doesn't make a plain stainless steel one.

"Nice but VERY hard to clean" 2010-02-12
By G. Tavares (Jacksonville, FL)
I've wanted to purchase this cookware for a long time. Last X-mas I decided to get it. They are indeed a very good looking cooking set. The stainless steel is thick in durable without a doubt. The ONLY downside for this set is cleaning it. It is VERY hard to clean and maintain. I have yet not found a product that will help me clean these and not having to scrub it hard. If you don't clean it properly, I will leave stains. Very disappointed with that.
