This is a really nice set; it has all the pieces I typically need in my daily cooking. (Although a 2 quart saucepan would be a nice addition). I was replacing a nonstick set and worried about how food would stick and the amount of butter, oil, etc. I might have to use, BUT I have been so pleasantly surprised. As mentioned in other reviews, it quickly shows signs of use with some color variation, but they are for use after all and not display pieces. If that is of importance to you, though, then I would definitely suggest getting Bar Keepers cleaner.

I have always owned non-stick cookware with painted outsides. This is my first stainless unpainted set. I didn't really want colorless cookware fearing it would look too stark and cold. These are absolutely beautiful, inside and out. They look clean and professional. They are a good heavy weight. The handles are comfortable and so far have not gotten hot.
I also wasn't sure about the non stick surface. As it turns out, eggs did stick so I use my cast iron fry pans for eggs. So far I have had no problem cooking anything else.
They clean up easily with a scrubby sponge. Do not use steel wool. There is an instruction sheet to tell you about how best to clean them.
When I saw them used on several Food Network shows I was convinced that they would be right for me.
The only things I would like to see changed are the lids. I like glass lids so I can monitor what I am cooking. I also like the lids to have vent holes. I seldom see that. The handles could be a little thicker. I am used to "comfort grip" handles.
These pots and pans as we used to call them are solidly built. There is no non-stick coating to wear off or flake into the food and no cute painted outside to fade or flake off like my other cookware. I have a feeling they are going to last a very long time.

Being an above average cook, not a trained chef, but I do get it done in my kitchen (get outta mike's kitchen) I have used a few nonstick brands in the past, mostly as a bachelor who was not exited about microwaves or baking.
I live to sautee, stir fry, and fry.
When I purchased the set about 3 years ago, i was hoping for a solid feel, a nice construction, and a FLAT pan that wont warp and do acrobatics on a flat top range. (y'all know what im shoutin)
This set seems to hold its shape so that all points of contact are level on my burners. Gas stove users wont care much of this fact, but I do.
Lids fit decently enough - that they are not as heavy gauge as I'd like to see, and the handles on the lids can get hot, is the only reason from 5 to 4 stars.
This is in my talented opinion, an exceptional value for a cookset. I'd like to see a mid-sized pot come with it to make an 11 pc. set. Alas, I purchased one from a local discount store.
Samosas? battered halibut? vodka creme chicken with linguini? you'll find it in Mike's Kitchen, brought to you by Cuisinart. ;)

Replaced an Emerilware nonstick set with this Cuisinart stainless set with much trepidation. I hadn't cooked on anything other than nonstick for YEARS. I am very pleased with my Cuisinart set. I use lower temperatures as instructed, food doesn't stick and clean up is easy (so my husband tells me). Very happy with the set and the price.

I was a little afraid of using stainless steel after reading reviews about burning food. The whole key is to learn that cooking on medium to medium low is the new high. These pans are great as long as you do that. You've got to let the pan heat on the stove for about 1 - 2 minutes on medium, then add your butter or oil for about 30 seconds and coat the pan with the butter/oil then add your food and cook on medium to medium low. I've had them for about a month and have not burned or scorched the pans or food at all. And they clean beautifuly. I am truly amazed and very pleased with my purchase
